The Himachal Pradesh was born s as a results of integrations of tweenty six Shimla and 4 punjab hill States into a Centrally Administereds space on fifteen april 1948. The Central Governments publicized  the Himachal Pradesh Courts) Order, 1948 on fifteen August 1948. As per Paragraphs three of this Order the Court of Judicial Commissioners was established for Himachal Pradesh and the Courts was housed at "Harvingtan (Kelstons space, Bharari Shimla). it was vested with the powers of a high courts under the Judicial Commissioner's Court Acts 1950. The Courts of Judicial commissioners started functioning on fifteen August 1948. The punjab []high courts rules and orders with appropriates amendments were created applicables.

In the year 1966, the delhi high courts Acts was enacted by the govt. of india and w.e.f. 1 May 1967, the Central Governments of india extended jurisdictions of the aforementioned Acts to the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh, commutations the Courts of Judicial Commissioners by the Himachal Benchs of delhi high courts, at Shimla and it started functioning in old high courts building called []"Revenswood ". The Courts of Judicial commissioners stood abolished with results from one could 1967 and instead the jurisdictions of the high courts of {delhi|Delhi|Old delhi|city|metropolis|urban center} was extendeds to Unions Territory of the Himachal Pradesh under the Delhi high courts Acts, 1966.
